We loved getting creative and making a stencil with our die cutting machine using a beautiful Birch Tree file. This is a great project for beginners who have never stenciled before. I love the way this sign looks. It's super rustic and it's a perfect addition to my farmhouse decor!

  • Cricut Maker
  • Vinyl
  • Wood Plaque
  • Pouncers
  • White and Yellow Paint
  • Weeding Tools
  • Measuring Tape
  • Transfer Tape (optional)

How to Make Birch Tree Stenciled Wood Slice

  1. Measure your wood slab and size your file in Design Space to fit well on your wood slab.
  2. Load your vinyl on your mat, your mat into your machine, set your material, and watch it cut!
  3. Once cut, weed your design and add transfer paper. You may not need transfer tape, we didn't use any, but you can!
  4. Apply your design onto your wood slab and burnish really well. Peel off your transfer paper.
  5. With your pouncer, paint your wood slab being sure to only pounce straight up and down. That way your lines will be super crisp.
  6. After you paint 1-2 coats, carefully remove the vinyl to reveal your pattern! Once it’s dry, display it proudly.
