If you're looking for fun luggage tag decal inspiration, Makers Gonna Learn is full of options. Some people don't even think about decorating their luggage tags, but I think it adds tons of cute personality and helps you spot your own bag faster. We used scrap pieces of vinyl to bring this multi-layered project to life. This file is from the awesome 2019 Summer Collection!

Materials

  • Cricut Maker or Other Die Cutting Machine
  • Blue, Black, Pink, and Green Vinyl
  • Transfer Tape
  • Weeding Tools
  • Measuring Tape
  • Plastic Luggage Tag

How to Make This Project

  1. Measure your tag and size your file in Design Space or the software of your machine to fit well onto it.
  2. Load in your first mat, set your material, and let your machine cut.
  3. Repeat with your second mat.
  4. Once all your colors are cut weed your images and apply transfer tape to them each.
  5. Wipe down your tag with rubbing alcohol if you would like, then carefully position and apply your first layer of vinyl to it.
  6. Burnish all the vinyl down well, then slowly peel the transfer tape straight back.
  7. Repeat with the following layers, and enjoy!
