This is another fun tutorial from the Specialty Blade collection. We also used a font in this project! This is a super fun project to make if you're wanting to push yourself out of your comfort zone. This incorporates cutting felt, sewing, Iron-On, and more! Sometimes I want to make a project that will challenge me, and this is the perfect one to do that. We manipulated a fun file and added a font to make this Felt Mail Organizer.

  • Cricut Maker with Rotary Blade
  • Gray Felt
  • FabricGrip Cutting Mat
  • Measuring Tape
  • Dowel
  • String
  • White Iron-On
  • Cricut EasyPress or Heat Press
  • Cricut EasyPress Mat or Towel
  • Sewing Machine or Needle and Thread

How to Make This Project

  1. Decide how large you would like your mail organizer and size your file in Design Space or the software of your machine.
  2. Add your felt to your FabricGrip Mat.
  3. Load in your mat, set your material, and let your machine cut.
  4. Once cut gently peel your felt off your mat.
  5. Iron-On your felt piece, and then get to sewing!
  6. When you get to the top, fold the felt over the dowel and stitch it secure.
  7. Add a string to hang the organizer and get your mail decluttered!
