I love making fall flower arrangements for holidays, and I love fall. We decided to take it up a notch and stain an unfinished hanging flower display and add some vinyl before adding our beautiful fall flowers. I love the new fall files, and you will love this project.

Materials

  • Cricut Maker or Other Die Cutting Machine
  • White and Gold Vinyl
  • Transfer Tape
  • Weeding Tools
  • Measuring Tape
  • Unfinished Flower Basket
  • Dark Wood Stain
  • Staining Pad
  • Silk Flowers

How to Make This Project

  1. Measure your flower holder and size your file in Design Space or the software of your machine to fit well onto it.
  2. Load in your mats, set your materials, and let your machine cut both colors of vinyl.
  3. Once both mats are cut weed your image and apply transfer tape to it.
  4. Stain your flower holder and allow it to dry completely.
  5. Once the holder has dried, apply the vinyl onto your holder.
  6. Burnish all the vinyl down well, then slowly peel the transfer tape straight back.
  7. Repeat with the second layer and add your flowers.
