This is a super fun spin on a regular reverse canvas. We painted the edges gold and used blue glitter HTV to really make this project pop. You can personalize this using any color of paint or HTV to match your or the recipient's craft room. If you've never made a reverse canvas you're missing out! Give this one a try today.

How to Make This Project

  1. With your Cricut knife cut around the staples on the back of the canvas and peel off the canvas material.
  2. Paint the frame in gold paint and allow it to dry.
  3. Open your file in Design Space and size it to fit well onto your canvas.
  4. Once sized load your mat, mirror your image, set your material, and let the Cricut cut.
  5. Weed your cut image and heat up your EasyPress.
  6. Lay your canvas onto the EasyPress mat and place your Iron-On where you’d like it to go. Heat your glitter Iron-On.
  7. While still warm, slowly peel off the transfer paper to reveal your Iron-On.
  8. Place your frame where you’d like it to go on your canvas and flip it over.
  9. With your staple gun secure the canvas back to the frame.
  10. With your Cricut knife trim off the excess canvas and flip it back over to reveal your finished chalkboard reverse canvas!
