I love making hats for all different occasions. This time I made an adorable baseball lovers y hat with two different colors of Iron-On. Ironing onto a hat isn't as hard as you might think. Here is a great tutorial just how to do it.

  • Cricut Maker
  • Cricut Iron-On In Black and Red
  • Cricut StandardGrip Mat
  • Cricut EasyPress 2, 6” x 7”
  • Cricut EasyPress Mat
  • Towel
  • Weeding Tool Set
  • Measuring Tape
  • Hat

How to Make This Project

  1. Measure your hat and size your file in Design Space to fit well onto the front of your hat.
  2. Lay your Iron-On shiny side down onto the Cricut mat and position your designs where you placed your Iron-On.
  3. Mirror the images, set your materials, and let the Cricut cut!
  4. Preheat your EasyPress and weed your images once they’re cut.
  5. Roll up a small towel and position it just right inside your hat. The goal is to have a flat surface to work with so you can heat your hat properly.
  6. Preheat your hat as best you can, and then place the first layer of Iron-On onto your hat where you’d like it to go, then heat. Give firm pressure.
  7. Peel off the transfer sheet and position your second layer of Iron-On, and replace the transfer sheet back over the other layer as well.
  8. After heating, peel off both transfer sheets and adjust your hat back to how you like it.
